Our Best Compilation Yet!
After the success of our revived private we’re back back and ready to share with the world our new and classic (coffee) hits. Volume VI will take place on June 1st, 2023 and will showcase for the first time the greatest hits from both Nicaragua and Honduras. We seek to highlight the unique diversity found amongst our personalities, origins, varieties, and processes.
Conceived in 2013, Los Favoritos auction has been an initiative to show the world the exquisiteness and allure of our coffees. But now, with the successes of our farms in Honduras in the Cup of Excellence program, Santa Lucia achieving 2 x 1st place positions, and a 2nd place, in the last 3 years.
Always focusing on small lots, big flavors, the weight caps for the lots with year will be 120kg (4 VP boxes of 30kg). Lots must meet a minimum cup score of 88 points to enter the auction.
By focusing on the theme of Diversity, we’re aiming to include the many distinct varieties that we produce, and promote our fine-tuned, and new, post-harvest processes. From the Classics to the Funky new jams, expect a fruit-packed party in your mouth. Auction lots will be announced 14th of April.
Our Greatest Hits.
Expect bombacious Washed coffees, seductive Honey’s, sparkling Naturals, and mind-bongling experimental processes. We’re digging deep into our crates, checking them not once, but twice to make sure we find the best of the best.
We will be holding our National jury from the 6th to 15th of March. Two Cup of Excellence Head Judges, our very own Erwin Jr. and Eleane Mierisch, will preside over a panel of highly experienced cuppers and Q-graders. This selection will be handed off to a meticously curated selection of international judges worldwide; whose duties will be to fine tine the selection. Leaving only but Los Favoritos.
